Shell objects and general folder/Windows Explorer shortcuts

For a selected object:
  • F2: Rename object
  • F3: Find all files
  • CTRL+X: Cut
  • CTRL+C: Copy
  • CTRL+V: Paste
  • SHIFT+DELETE: Delete selection immediately, without moving the item to the Recycle Bin
  • ALT+ENTER: Open the properties for the selected object

To copy a file

Press and hold down the CTRL key while you drag the file to another folder.

To create a shortcut

Press and hold down CTRL+SHIFT while you drag a file to the desktop or a folder.

General folder/shortcut control

  • F4: Selects the Go To A Different Folder box and moves down the entries in the box (if the toolbar is active in Windows Explorer)
  • F5: Refreshes the current window.
  • F6: Moves among panes in Windows Explorer
  • CTRL+G: Opens the Go To Folder tool (in Windows 95 Windows Explorer only)
  • CTRL+Z: Undo the last command

Laptop Bakar Rumah



Kebakaran Gara-gara Biarkan Laptop Atas Tilam



SARIKEI: Kecuaian membiarkan komputer riba yang masih beroperasi dan diletak di atas tilam telah membawa malapetaka kepada seorang lelaki berusia sekitar 30-an dari Jalan Alamanda, Kampung Seberang, Sarikei, semalam.

Penghulu Awang Ahmad yang menjadi ketua masya-rakat di kawasan terbabit ketika dihubungi pemberita bagi mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai kejadian itu berkata, pada masa kejadian mangsa baharu selesai menyempurnakan tugasan dengan komputer terbabit di bilik tidurnya.

“Selepas selesai menyiapkan tugasan tersebut mangsa telah pergi ke bilik air untuk mandi dan selang beberapa minit kemudian mangsa telah terhidu bau asap kebakaran.

“Berikutan itu, mangsa telah bergegas keluar dari bilik air dan mendapati komputer yang diletaknya di atas tilam sedang terbakar dengan maraknya.

“Melihat kejadian itu mangsa telah berusaha memadamkan api dengan menarik tilam tersebut ke bilik mandi namun dalam usahanya itu mangsa turut mengalami ke-lecuran di beberapa bahagian badan,” katanya kepada Borneo Post.
Tambahnya, kejadian itu turut mendapat perhatian daripada isteri dan jiran mangsa yang turut sama berusaha membantu memadamkan kebakaran itu dengan menggunakan sumber air dari rumah terbabit.

Jiran-jiran lain mangsa yang turut sedar dan melihat kejadian tersebut telah bertindak pantas menghubungi pihak bomba dan dalam beberapa minit selepas menerima panggilan, sepasukan pihak bomba dengan sebuah jentera telah tiba di lokasi kejadian untuk memadam kebakaran.

Namun begitu kebakaran tersebut telah berjaya di- kawal oleh penduduk dan jiran mangsa dan hanya memus-nahkan bilik tidur mangsa sahaja.

Mangsa dan isterinya yang mengalami beberapa kece-deraan dan melecur di bebe-rapa bahagian badan telah dibawa oleh jirannya untuk mendapatkan rawatan di Hospital Sarikei.

Berikut adalah beberapa tips penjagaan Screen Laptop @Netbook:

1. Memegang Screen semasa membuka Laptop.

Ketika anda ingin menggunakan laptop tentunya anda akan mengangkat screen  supaya mengikut        kehendak yang sesuai dengan pandangan anda kan?  Pointnya disini adalah dimana tangan anda semasa membuka screen? adakah berada disebelah sisi kiri (1) screen ketika mengangkatnya, atau disebelah tengah (2) atau disebelah kanan (3) ? atau anda mengangkatnya dengan menggunakan mulut? hahaha (jangan ketawa, kerana situasi ini pernah kami lihat <yang penting bukan admin buat> ).


 Cara terbaik apabila membuka screen@mengangkat screen adalah dengan memegang di tengah-tengah pada penjuru atas screen itu atau anda memegang kedua-dua penjuru kanan dan kiri sekaligus. Jangan memegang satu sahaja  bagi penjuru kanan atau kiri ketika membukanya. 

Anda tidak perlu mengikut apa yang dikongsikan ini jika anda ingin melihat laptop anda jadi seperti ini






2. Hilangkan benda asing di atas keyboard.

Tentunya anda tertanya-tanyakan apa kaitan keyboard dengan screen. ok!


Disini saya bagi contoh yang mudah. jika anda tertinggal duit syiling diatas keyboard atau di bahagian yang sewaktunya dengan keyboard, apabila screen laptop ditutup rapat, tentunya duit syiling tadi akan menekan screen tadi tentunya akan? prakkkkkk!
Jika peristiwa itu berlaku pada anda, silalah derma duit anda ke kedai-kedai baiki komputer. jadi berhati-hatilah apabila menutup balik screen laptop. bahan yang lain yang membahayakan untuk screen yang sering berlaku adalah tudung pen, skru, wayar  dan macam-macam lagi.

3. Jangan letakkan Benda berat atas laptop.

Letak bende-bende yang berat atas laptop ni sering saya tengok, kalau masa study dekat tempat belajar  dulu (haha) selalu kumpul-kumpul laptop dengan buku ni sekali, kalau laptop tu letak kat atas buku xpe, ni laptop tu letak kat bawah. Kene tindih la laptop tu. (dulu xtau) . Bahaya tu, barang yang berat meskipun bukan buku tidak sesuai diletakkan diatas laptop. Kerana bebanan yang diterima oleh Screen komputer tu boleh menyebabkan screen sangat mudah rosak, atau boleh pecah (crak la).
Nasihat Admin kepada anda yang menghantar komputer anda ke kedai-kedai baiki komputer, pernah tak anda lihat bagaimana mereka menyusun komputer yang dihantar oleh pelanggan kepada mereka?
Kalau kedai yang membuat bahagian2 untuk menyusun laptop ok. tapi masalahnya kedai yang meletakkan laptop kita dengan laptop orang lain secara bertindih2. 
Kalau ini berlaku pada anda, cukuplah hantar komputer anda untuk dibaiki dikedai tersebut. nantikan benda lain yang nak repair, benda lain plak yang rosak. (Izz Technology tak pernah buat bende xberfaedah tu, hehehe).

4. Bersihkan Screen Komputer anda

untuk membersihkan screen mudah jer, beli jer LCD CLEANER kat kedai Izz Technology atau kat kedai yang berhampiran dengan anda, murah jer, tak sampai RM10 pun.

nak bersihkan Screen komputer ni ada pantang larangnye  juga, kalau guna LCD CLEANER tu, jangan sembur masa komputer tengah on atau masih sambung dengan arus elektrik. disable kan dulu arus  elektrik tu. jangan guna tisu untuk bersihkan screen, nantikan tambah calar lagi screen tu. kalau sembur air cleaner tu jangan plak buat macam air hujan. sembur sikit jer, jangan sembur terus pada screen komputer tu (takut air yang lebih tu mengalir ke bahagian yang lain), sembur pada kain baru lap. Kalau screen tu bersih jer barulah sedap nak buka FB. (tak gtu).

Sakit Mata Bila Guna Komputer


Tips Menggunakan Komputer Supaya Mata Tidak Sakit.
 
 Ader sesapa yang pernah buat macam ni semasa mengggunakan komputer? 










Mesti ramai punya... (termasuk admin, hehehe).
tapi tu dulu, sekarang dah mula perbaiki.







Menggunakan komputer dalam tempoh yang lama tidak hanya menyebabkan mata menjadi letih, melihat skrin komputer terlalu lama juga boleh merosakkan mata. Untuk mengelakkan perkara tersebut tidak terjadi, berikut beberapa cara menggunakan komputer yang tepat.
Menurut sebuah kajian, skrin komputer tidak memancarkan radiasi berbahaya seperti sinar X atau cahaya ultraviolet.

Jadi, keletihan yang biasa terjadi semasa berhadapan skrin komputer terlalu lama bukan kerana paparan sinar monitor, melainkan oleh faktor lain.
Faktor lain tersebut adalah pencahayaan yang buruk, posisi komputer atau barang lain yang tidak betul. Ketegangan yang berlebihan pada mata atau yang biasa disebut Computer Vision Syndrome dapat mengakibatkan mata gatal atau terasa terbakar, penglihatan kabur serta sakit kepala.
Beberapa langkah yang boleh kita lakukan untuk melindungi mata dari keletihan dan ketegangan. Perkara yang paling utama dan harus dilakukan adalah pengaturan posisi komputer dan pencahayaan. (Ergonomik).

1. Jauhkan komputer kurang lebih 20-30 inci atau lebih kurang sepanjang lengan dari mata anda. Usahakan agar monitor sejajar dengan arah pandang mata anda.

2. Sengetkan skrin monitor ke belakang sebanyak 19 hingga 20 darjat. Ini berguna untuk mendapatkan jarak pandang yang optimal.

3. Atur cahaya monitor agar tidak terlalu silau atau terlalu redup. Jika cahaya terlalu terang, gunakan filter atau pelindung anti-silau. Jangan lupa untuk mengatur brightness untuk mendapatkan kontras yang tepat antara huruf dan latar belakang. Jika melihat adanya flicker pada skrin komputer, sebaiknya monitor diganti segera.

4. Jika terpaksa membaca dokumen yang panjang atau menggunakan komputer dalam waktu yang lama, cubalah untuk menggunakan skrin komputer serta ukuran huruf yang lebih besar. Ada baiknya menggunakan skrin komputer LCD kerana lebih boleh diterima dengan baik oleh mata.

5. Gunakan kerusi yang dapat di’adjust’ rendah-tinggi dan ada penyandar. Selain itu, gunakan juga meja yang stabil dan tidak mudah goyang.

Kalau boleh jarak mata kite ngan PC lebih kurang 25 inci. Korang agak2 je laa..jangan gi ukur pakai pembaris.. =P.  Then adjust brightness kepada level yang sesuai dengan mate kita. Nanti otot mate akan lebih relax. Pencahayaan screen janganlah terlalu terang sebab ramai dah student yang mengalami penyakit rabun silau. Terpakse pakai cermin mata yang boleh tukar jadi gelap bile kena matahari…

4. Cara kita duduk.



Haaa…gambar ni kalau tengok betul2, memang mustahil laa kalau korang nak buat..tapi alangkah bagusnye kalau korang try..

1st: Badan kene tegak 90 darjah..untuk elakkan bongkok. Kite dapat kekalkan bentuk badan yang menawan pasni..

2nd: Kaki kita kene sentuh lantai..kalau pendek, kene ade tempat letak kaki macam gambar kat atas.

3rd: Belakang badan kita kene ade sokongan tuk elakkan backpain. Kalau kerusi korang cam tegak je kan, korang letak bantal.

Cara remove virus shortcut :

Geram betul kan bila file kena virus shortcut ni, lagi2 bila barang yang penting tak dapat kita buka, rasa nak buang jer pendrive tu kan?. Kalau tak tahu pasal virus shortcut ni memang terus format la pendrivenya. Sebenarnya virus shortcut tak makan (hilangkan) data korang tapi virus ni hanya sembunyikan jer file korang tu. Kalau sape2 yang pernah kena tu jangan terus format pendrive korang, kalau tak sia-sia hilang file2 penting yang korang simpan. Kat bawah ni saya kongsikan macam nak remove virus shortcut dari pendrive atau komputer korang guna cmd Atau UiTM Virus Shortcut Remover.


1) Masukkan pendrive korang kat usb port. Kenal pasti pendrive korang locate kat mane. Kat E ke, F ke atau sebagainya.
2) Sebelum korang buat ape-ape, aku sarankan, SCAN dulu pendrive tu.
3) Dah siap scan, ikut step ni.
klik My Computer> klik Tools > Folder Options > View > Klik show hidden files > unclick  hide extension > unclick hide protected. Lebih kurang macam gambar kat bawah ni.

Step seterusnya..
4) Bukak location pendrive tadi. Biarkan dia terbukak. Korang akan nampak, folder yang shortcut tadi actually sudah di hiddenkan oleh virus tadi.
5) Ok sekarang korang Klik kat Start > Run > dan taip cmd.

Lepas tu akan kua skrin hitam macam kat bawah ni.

6) Kau taip command kat bawah ni dalam skrin hitam tu.
attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*
(yang g tu ialah lokasi pendrive korang. Kalau pendrive korang location dia F, kau tulis la F)
Kemudian, tekan button Enter.
7) Korang punya skrin hitam (cmd) akan ambik masa nak loading. So, korang tunggu sampai second command muncul. Bila second command dah muncul.
8) Siap. Korang punya folder yang hidden tadi dah back to normal.Delete folder yang ada shortcut tadi.
10) Ubah balik Setting My Computer tadi, tukar jadi macam asal balik ok! Jangan malas!Takut korang ter..delete files window yang penting, kang tak pasal-pasal window corrupt.


Haha..yang tu cara susah ckt..nak cara senang korang guna jer UiTM Virus Shortcut Remover V3.1 paling senang, cepat dan tak payah nak pening kepala.

Testing for Hardware Problems Using Hardware Diagnostic Tools.

Hardware Diagnostic Tools is a hardware diagnostic program. Use it to test computer hardware and troubleshoot computer issues.
NOTE:If you cannot find the information you are looking for from this document, click at the top of the hardware diagnostics page for more helpful information. View detailed information about the individual tests and recommendations for fixing common hardware issues.

Using Hardware Diagnostic Tools from Windows
This section explains how to use the Hardware Diagnostic Tools when Windows Vista is working and you are able to open the program from Windows. If you cannot access Windows Vista or open the Hardware Diagnostic Tools from Windows, see Using Hardware Diagnostic Tools when Windows will not open or Using the Bootable Diagnostic CD .

Step 1: Before you begin
Close all programs and turn off the screen saver. Most of the tests take only a few minutes to complete, however, some tests may take longer and use a lot of system resources. Turning off non-essential applications helps the tests run more efficiently.
NOTE: Hardware Diagnostic Tools provides a lot of information. For best results, read and follow the instructions as they are displayed. The instructions may be displayed before, during, and after the tests are run.

Step 2: Start Hardware Diagnostic Tools
Click Start , All Programs , PC Help & Tools , and Hardware Diagnostic Tools.
A window opens and displays a message to close all applications. Close all non-essential applications and click OK to continue.

Step 3: Check Alert Messages
Hardware Diagnostic Tools scans the computer for any disabled or misconfigured devices. Detected issues are displayed in the Alerts section at the top of the main page. Always check the Alerts first, the computer issue may be related to an alert.

  1. Click Alerts and review the messages.
    If no alerts are displayed go to Step 4 to start testing.
  2. Record a bootable diagnostic CD (optional).
    The first alert is usually a reminder to record a bootable diagnostic CD. In case the computer is ever unable to start, the bootable CD can be used to open Hardware Diagnostic Tools to help diagnose the problem.

    Do one of the following:



    • Click Record Bootable Diagnostic CD and follow the on-screen instructions to create a bootable CD. If you want to record the CD another time, click Next or Done .



    • Click Next to read the next alert.



    • Click Done to close the alert window.



    • Select the Do not show this alert again checkbox and click Next or Done to never see the Record Bootable Diagnostic CD alert again.
  3. Review Misconfigured Device alerts. Read the information and decide whether it relates to the issue you are troubleshooting.

    Do one of the following:



    • Use the tools in the System Tools section to resolve the issue now. Click Help for more information.



    • Click Next to read the next alert. If the issue is not resolved, the alert will display again next time Hardware Diagnostic Tools is opened.



    • Click Done to close the alert window. If the issue is not resolved, the alert will display again next time Hardware Diagnostic Tools is opened.

Step 4: Test a device
The Hardware Diagnostic Tools main page displays device categories. Mouse over the category to view more information.

  1. Select a category from the list on the left or from the groups on the main page.

  2. Review Misconfigured devices.
    Do one of the following:



    • Click the device and review the device information.



    • Click one of the System Tools and resolve the misconfiguration issue.



    • Do not troubleshoot the misconfigured device. The misconfigured device is not related to your current issue. Resolve the misconfigured device issue another time.
  3. Select a device and click Run test .
  4. Click Yes to continue.

    NOTE:Some tests may display additional messages. Follow the instructions and click OK to continue.

Step 5: Understanding test results
Three test results are possible:



  • Pass: No problems were detected for the hardware device tested. This may indicate that the computer issue is caused by software program and not the hardware.



  • Fail or Specific problem description: A problem was detected with the hardware device. Follow the detailed instructions to help fix the problem, or click one of the links to view related help topics in the Help and Support Center and in the Hardware Diagnostic Tools online help.



  • User aborted: The test was cancelled by the user.

Using Hardware Diagnostic Tools when Windows does not open
If you cannot access Windows Vista, you can still use the Hardware Diagnostic Tools to test for hardware issues.

Use the following steps to perfrom a hardware test from the hard drive through the Recovery Manager upon system startup
Step 1: Start Hardware Diagnostic Tools
NOTE: Hardware Diagnostic Tools provides a lot of information. For best results, read and follow the instructions as they are displayed. The instructions may be displayed before, during, and after the tests are run.
  1. Turn off the computer.
  2. Disconnect all connected devices (such as the Personal Media Drive, USB drives, printer, and fax), remove media from drives, and remove any recently added internal hardware. Do not disconnect the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and power cord.
  3. Turn on the computer.
  4. Do one of the following actions depending on how Windows Vista was installed:



    • If Windows Vista came pre-installed on your computer, press the F11 key repeatedly when the first screen opens (the logo screen), until the Recovery Manager program opens on the screen.



    • If your computer was upgraded from Windows XP to Windows Vista, press the F10 key repeatedly when the first screen opens (the logo screen) until the Recovery Manager program opens on the screen.

  5. Click Advanced Options .
  6. Place a check in the box next to Computer checkup and click Next .
Step 2: Run tests
  1. Click Basic Test to test the CPU, hard disk drive, and computer memory.
  2. For more detailed analysis of the hard drive, optical drive, CPU or memory, choose one of the tests under Advanced Category .
  3. On the test screen, click Run .
    Three test results are possible:



    • Passed: No problems were detected for the hardware device tested. This may indicate that the computer issue is caused by software program and not the hardware.



    • Failed: A problem was detected with the hardware device. Make a note of the error code. Replace the bad component or have your computer serviced.



    • Aborted: The test was cancelled by the user.
  4. When the test is complete, click Home to return to the main screen.
  5. Click Quit to finish using the Hardware Diagnostic Tools and restart the computer.

Running the test from the startup screen (boot)
If your computer was manufactured in 2008 or later, you may be able to run a hardware diagnostic test during the startup process. To do so, turn on the computer and press the F9 key during the screen with the HP or Compaq logo.

Diagnostic Tools opens and performs a variety of hardware tests. Green checkmarks appear next to hardware items that pass the test. Any problems found are reported.

Using the Bootable Diagnostic CD
If you cannot access Windows Vista or the Recovery Manager, you can use a Bootable Diagnostic CD to run the Hardware Diagnostic Tools. The Bootable Diagnostic CD is created using the Hardware Diagnostic Tools in Windows Vista. For more information about creating the Bootable Diagnostic CD, see Using Hardware Diagnostic Tools from Windows . Once you have created the Bootable Diagnostic CD, use these steps to run Hardware Diagnostic Tools from the CD:
  1. Insert the Bootable Diagnostic CD into the CD drive.
  2. Restart the computer.
  3. On the Language Selection screen, type the letter that corresponds to your language. For example, type A to select English.
  4. On the Introduction screen, press the spacebar to continue.
  5. From the Symptoms menu, press the number key that corresponds to the symptom you are experiencing. If you are not sure which symptom to use, press the 4 key to run the basic test suite.
  6. Based on the symptom you chose, the Hardware Diagnostic Tools run tests on your computer hardware.
    Three test results are possible:



    • Passed: No problems were detected for the hardware device tested. This may indicate that the computer issue is caused by software program and not the hardware.



    • Failed: A problem was detected with the hardware device. Make a note of the error code in the test log. To view the test log, press the spacebar to return to the Symptoms menu, then press the 7 key.
      Replace the bad component or have your computer serviced.



    • Aborted: The test was cancelled by the user.
  7. Press the spacebar to return to the Symptoms menu.
  8. To view detailed information about each test performed, press the 7 key from the Symptoms menu.
  9. Press 8 to exit the Hardware Diagnostic Tools.
  10. Remove the CD from the drive, then press any key to restart the system.
